PiePic is a local photo gallery and search application for Android. It indexes photos already stored on your device and lets you search them using image labels and OCR (Optical Character Recognition). All image processing and search operations run locally on your device using on-device machine learning. An internet connection may be required once to download optional Google ML Kit models. After that, image analysis continues entirely on your device.
PiePic does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data, photos, search queries, analytics, crash reports, or device identifiers.
If you choose to provide a name or nickname for a more personalized experience, it is stored only on your device and is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared with us or any third party.
All metadata generated by the app, including image labels, OCR text, and folder information, is stored locally in a Room database on your device and never leaves your device.
PiePic may access metadata embedded in your photos, such as the date, time, camera information, and GPS location (if available), to display photo details and improve your experience. This information is processed and stored only on your device. It is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared with us or any third party.

The app uses Google ML Kit for image label detection and text recognition (OCR). All ML Kit operations run fully on-device. No images or results are sent to Google servers. ML models may be downloaded once during setup, but your photos and their analysis results always remain local.
PiePic does not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.

PiePic does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect or transmit personal data, no personal information from children is collected.
Because no data leaves your device, the security of your information is governed entirely by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We have no servers, no databases, and no accounts — there is nothing to breach on our end.
If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
